I can speak for everyone when I say a good bowl of Yong Tau Foo is up there for go-to comfort foods. After relocating from Woodlands, Vietnamese business owner Camelia Nguyen has found a new home for her stall Yixin Yong Tau Foo & Lok Lok at Albert Street Market & Food Centre. The stall will also have a reopening promo running until 31 Oct where you can enjoy 6pcs + 1 main carb for S$4.90 (u.p. S$5.60 – S$6.60)

Back in 2016 at just 21 years of age, Camelia left her hometown of Ho Chi Minh City and decided to move to Singapore in hopes of pursuing a career overseas. She started as a beautician before deciding to switch to the hawker biz after 6 years.

Whilst her family back home are business owners themselves, her decision wasn’t initially well received. But Camelia wanted to leave her comfortable lifestyle and make it independently. With Yixin Yong Tau Foo, Camelia has put her unique twist to it while still aiming to cater to the local Singaporean palate.

With their handmade yong tau foo prepped fresh daily, diners will be left spoilt for choice with over 80 ingredients to choose from. Known for their infused soups, you can choose between their three soups: Original, Laksa or Tom Yum. Diners will also have the choice of 9 different noodles to pair with their yong tau foo from kway teow, mee suah or a regular bowl of rice.

Yixin Yong Tau Foo - Lok Lok & Satays

Aside from the usual yong tau foo, the stall serves local delights such as spam fries, mala chicken, lok loks and satays. A one-stop station to satisfy all your cravings!

So if you are in the area, why not try Yixin Yong Tau Foo & Lok Lok for a new take on our beloved yong tau foo before the promo ends?
