Shio pan are great. But you know what’s even better? Shio pan with gelato inside! Just imagine hot, buttery and crusty shio pan, filled with cold, creamy gelato… ahem. Anyway, popular shio pan venture, Shio & Sato, is having a collaboration with Tom’s Palette at Bugis.
The latest venture by Masterchef Singapore runner-up, Genevieve Lee, Shio & Sato made waves when it had its first popup at Takashimaya in 2024, leading some to brand its shio pan as “some of the best in Singapore”.
The popup collaboration runs from now till 10 Feb 2025, and is open from 12pm to 7pm. For those who are unable to attend the popup, you can also pre-order for pickups from 5pm to 8pm. The shio pan are freshly baked on-site, so you can be sure you’re getting them at their best!
The usual flavours of savoury shio pan from Shio & Sato’s previous popups are available: Original Shio Pan (S$3.90), Kombu Shio Pan (S$4.90), Truffle Shio Pan (S$4.90), Tamago Shio Pan (S$5.50), and Green Chilli Onion (S$5.90).
A new flavour, Chicken Floss Bak Kwa (S$5.90), also makes its debut, perfect for the CNY season. Kimcheese Shio Pan (S$6.90), which was available in the previous pre-order, makes a return for this collaboration.
While the usual sweet variants available at the last 2 popups aren’t available this round, instead, there will be exclusive Ice Cream Shio Pan. The flavours will rotate every 10 days, beginning with the Matcha Strawberry Gelato Shio Pan (S$9.90), featuring a matcha-flavoured shio pan absolutely stuffed with 2 large scoops of strawberry gelato. This flavour is only available until 19 Jan 2025, so hustle down before it ends!
Note that the popup will not be open on the following dates: 29 Jan and 30 Jan 2025, and 7 Feb 2025. Limited quantities available daily.
