Under the stewardship of Fong Chi Chung, founder of renowned 1 MICHELIN-starred PUTIEN, Sam Leong Street Chicken Rice has reached a 30-year milestone in its legacy.

If you’re too busy to drop by during the day, don’t worry. The store is open until 3am, making it a convenient spot for any meal of the day.

Sam Leong Street Chicken Rice’s new menu spread includes the Kampung Chicken Rice (S$11.80) that comes with unlimited soup and founder Heng Air Tow’s original chilli sauce.

Kampung chicken is known for its high protein-to-fat ratio compared to other chicken, allowing for a leaner cut with more fibre and nutrients. They are free-range chickens and tested for antibiotic use in Singapore.

If you’re out in a big group, you can also order the Half Kampung Chicken (S$18) or Whole Kampung Chicken (S$35) for sharing. Juicy, meaty and hearty, these new Kampung chicken dishes will make your stomach rumble!

Apart from their Kampung chicken specials, there’s always room for their original menu items. Whether you’re on team poached chicken or team roasted chicken, the Roasted Chicken Rice (S$5.80) will always be a classic dish.

The chickens are air-dried in a dry chiller for maximum crispiness during the roasting process, making it an indulgent midnight meal.

Of course, we can’t forget about the Chicken Soup that completes this meal. Even though it’s a complimentary dish, Sam Leong Street Chicken Rice isn’t about to skimp on quality. A gentle, refreshing chicken base wraps up the filling main dish perfectly for a comfort-centric experience.

If you’re in the area, why not drop by for a bite? Open through the night, Sam Leong Street Chicken Rice will ensure you leave with a full stomach. For lunch, dinner or supper, could there be anything more nostalgic than chicken rice built on heritage?
