If you’re a fan of Disney’s Zootopia or are looking for a place to celebrate this holiday season, it’s time to go on a wild adventure at Mandai Wildlife Reserve! From 8 Nov to 4 Jan, there will be a myriad of themed activities happening at the wildlife destination, including Join the Wild Patrol at Mandai Wildlife East and Festive Wild-erland at Mandai Wildlife West.
Join the Wild Patrol, inspired by Disney’s Zootopia 2
With Zootopia 2 coming out in November, Singapore Zoo has collaborated with Disney to create an experience inspired by the animated movie. Fans of the movie and its characters will get to step into their world and join officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde on a trail of clues to find a mysterious new friend.
You will report for duty at a Zootopia-inspired Police Department and collect a Patrol Kit before beginning your adventure. These kits are redeemable on a first-come, first-served basis and will include your own Zootopia-themed ID and case file. Make sure to snap some photos with Clawhauser and Chief Bogo while you’re at it!
Once you’re ready, embark on your journey through a reimagined Singapore Zoo, complete with downtown Zootopia streets, a Transfer Tube Network and a Marsh Market. As you’re walking through these locations, make sure to look out for clues and complete your case file with stamps. This will earn you the right to redeem an exclusive Police Badge Pin and Certificate of Completion at the end of your Wild Patrol.
Don’t miss Zootopia’s friends and deals
If you choose to Join the Wild Patrol, you can do so at a great deal with the Disney Zootopia Adventure Bundle. This includes admission to Singapore Zoo for 1 adult and 1 child for S$75 (U.P.: S$102) and a Zootopia 2 Plush Keychain. The keychain design you get depends on your date of visit, so you might want to plan your adventure accordingly.
Beyond just the familiar characters you will spot on your patrol, there will also be Meet & Greet sessions with some special friends from Zootopia, happening on 8 & 9 Nov and from 25 to 28 Dec. There are also exclusive Zootopia-themed merchandise to purchase and win throughout the entire period from 8 Nov to 4 Jan.
Snapping a Zootopia-themed photo and posting it on Instagram between 8 – 26 Nov will also give you a chance to win Zootopia 2 movie tickets and merch! Experience a wild Christmas at Festive Wild-erland
If you prefer something with more festive cheer, or you’re craving more after your trip to Zootopia, hop on to the other side of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, where wild festive celebrations await! From 15 Nov to 4 Jan, Mandai Wildlife West is transformed into a different kind of Christmas wonderland.
The first thing you will notice is an 8-metre Tree of Life, which is a beautiful wildlife-themed Christmas tree with ornaments representing the endangered species the reserve protects. You will also find numerous Festive Photo Points at both Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild Asia.
Talking about birds, visit the Snowy Penguins Wild-erland at Bird Paradise, where the magic of Christmas lights and snowflake projections will fill the Ocean Network Express Penguin Cove. Kids aged 12 and below can also join the Penguins Christmas Party Quest, where they will help find the penguins’ hidden Christmas treasures and stand to redeem a special prize.
For adults, you don’t have to experience FOMO, because Santa’s Adventure Quest will also get you searching for Christmas Tokens along the Forest Trek in exchange for prizes worth up to S$70,000 in total. This activity will be available from 1 to 25 Dec at Rainforest Wild Asia.
If you’re spending a day at Rainforest Wild Asia anytime from 15 Nov to 4 Jan, you can also explore the Aurora Snowy Cavern Wild-erland, which will be filled with Aurora lights in the day and gentle snowfall at night. This will be an immersive experience wildly appropriate for the Christmas season.
