Lao Huo Tang news: Nope, not a debt dispute, but promotional offers! From 10 Mar onwards, Lao Huo Tang is offering 1-for-1 discounts on all soups from 11am – 5pm, at all outlets except The Star Vista and Bukit Panjang Plaza.
Marina Square is an exception, with its promotional hours running 3pm – 9pm instead. This offer is limited to dine-in orders only.

Lao Huo Tang is a well-established homegrown Chinese restaurant group, best known for their traditional Cantonese-style, slow-boiled soups. Among their more famous soups are the classic Lotus Root Soup with Pork Rib & Peanut (S$14.80+) and Mummy’s ABC Soup (S$14.80+). Also popular is Buddha Jump Over Wall (S$26.80+), a luxurious, aromatic soup containing premium ingredients like abalone and sea cucumber.

It began as a single hawker stall in Chinatown Complex, before quickly developing a loyal following that catapulted its expansion into full-service restaurants across Singapore. While rooted in Cantonese traditions, the group has diversified with creative dishes and modern concepts, bringing other F&B brands under its umbrella.
They have now grown to over 10 restaurants, while the broader Lao Huo Tang Group spans over 40 restaurants and food brands.
Of course, this rapid growth has not come without negative attention. Just recently, Lao Huo Tang has been embroiled in a debt dispute claim, allegedly owing over S$500,000 to one of its clients.
While netizens have claimed to see debt collectors at some of their outlets, Lao Huo Tang says that they are operating as per usual.

With the restaurant bringing back its 1-for-1 deals, diners can savour 2 bowls of nourishing, high-quality soups for the price of 1. Grab your friends and family, or better yet, just enjoy 2 bowls of soup on your own – double the nutrients, double the gym gains… right?
As of now, Lao Huo Tang has not yet placed an ending date on these promotions. So, if you’re the type that believes a bowl of hot soup can remedy all your ailments, grab the opportunity while it lasts!
