McDonald’s and Pokémon fans, here’s something to look forward to: the Pokémon Happy Meal collaboration is heading to Singapore and Malaysia in December 2026, following its US launch on 10 Nov.

The collection is said to feature 15 collectible mini box toys and 15 Pokémon trading cards. Each mini box is designed around a different Pokémon, including familiar favourites such as Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Umbreon and Piplup, alongside other recognisable characters.

The mini boxes are arguably one of the more interesting parts of the collection. They can reportedly be turned into little charms that you can clip onto your keys, bags or even your trousers.
I don’t know about you, but the idea of having a tiny Pokémon companion from a Happy Meal tagging along on everyday errands, rather than leaving the collectibles at home is actually quite genius!

As for the trading cards, leaked photos suggest that the collection could include 15 designs, 7 of which feature a holofoil finish. The alleged line-up includes Jirachi, Tyranitar, Absol, Decidueye, Hawlucha, Pikachu, Palafin, Lucario, Snorlax, Eevee, Metagross, Mimikyu, Chandelure and Wooloo.
However, some reports have listed only 14 stamped cards, so the final selection remains unclear.
Each Happy Meal is also reportedly expected to include 2 Pokémon trading cards, though this detail has yet to be confirmed for Singapore and Malaysia.
The meals may come in special Pokémon-themed packaging, too, with 3 reported box designs featuring Pikachu, Umbreon and Torchic. The exact selection of toys and cards, as well as how they will be distributed, could vary by market.
The McDonald’s x Pokémon collaboration is expected to reach Singapore and Malaysia in Dec 2026, though local prices, exact launch dates and the final selection of toys and cards have yet to be confirmed.
For now, I’m curious to see which Pokémon make it into the local collection, especially if the mini box charms turn out to be as adorable as they sound (and practical, of course)!
