As reported by Shin Min Daily News, certain stalls within the food centre have adjusted their prices post-renovation.

For instance, an owner of a zi char stall has revisited his pricing strategy linking it to the escalating costs of primary ingredients. This 2nd-generation business owner disclosed to Shin Min Daily News that despite maintaining stable prices over 6 years, the costs of essential items like oyster sauce increased 3 times in the past year, each hike approximating 30%.

Additionally, the expenses related to fish and prawns increased by a minimum of 30%, prompting the owner to augment food prices by S$1 to S$2. Similarly, a drink stall owner is considering increasing prices by 10 cents.

Nevertheless, a handful of stall operators have opted against raising their prices. A chicken rice stall owner remarked, “Although this place is in a private residential area, there are also many migrant workers and students who eat here, and they are also very hardworking.”

Adding to its allure, 3 stalls from this food centre clinched the esteemed MICHELIN Bib Gourmand award in 2023, thereby securing spots among Singapore’s esteemed 79 recognised recipients. These distinguished establishments include Adam Road Noo Cheng Big Prawn Noodle, Bahrakath Mutton Soup, and Selamat Datang Warong Pak Sapari.

For those eager to visit, the newly-renovated Adam Road Food Centre now extends its operating hours, serving patrons as early as 7am until the late hours of 2am.
