You’ve probably heard of Benihana — the world-famous Japanese teppanyaki restaurant with over 70 outlets around the globe. Now, for the first time ever in Malaysia, you can experience its signature culinary theatrics on the 4th floor of Suria KLCC.

At Benihana, teppanyaki dining is refined with a touch of casual elegance. Diners are offered 3 experiences, each tailored to a different mood. Take a front-row seat at the live teppanyaki station, where skilled chefs present the dramatic play of spinning spatulas and flying eggs.

The main dining area offers a laid-back, casual vibe which is perfect for enjoying piping-hot dishes served straight to your table. For those seeking intimacy or celebrating something special, a private room awaits, offering a quieter, more personal setting.

Benihana - Boston Roll

The menu at Benihana is simple and mouth-watering all the same. You can start with their Signature Rolls as appetisers before the main event. Such selections include Crazy Salmon Roll (RM48), Godzilla Roll (RM78), and Boston Roll (RM58) — which we got to sample.

Each roll is filled with crunchy and hearty ebi tempura, tobiko, and topped with saucy lobster bits. It’s umami, filling, and seriously too big to devour in one bite! Consider yourself warned.

Benihana - Tenderloin Steak

Now, onto the mains. Naturally, the teppanyaki takes the centre stage. Our favourite picks include the AUS Tenderloin Steak (RM98), grilled to a perfect medium and paired with crisp garlic chips and vibrant sauteed greens.

Benihana - Salmon Belly

Then there’s the Norwegian Salmon Belly (RM68) which features flaky salmon flesh under a thin blanket of crispy skin and luscious fat that melts in your mouth.

Their drink menu is nothing lesser than a delight, featuring mocktails, hot brew and soft drinks. If you want something sweet yet refreshing, opt for One Night in Tokyo (RM35) — a concoction of strawberry, coconut, watermelon and yakult. For something brighter, take a sip of Maneki Neko (RM35) — bubbly soda infused with passion fruit, mango, and hibiscus.

Benihana is certainly not a place to dine alone. Bring your friends and loved ones if you ever plan to visit anytime soon!
