What’s a German festival without beer? Taking centre stage is a five-litre keg of Weltenburger Barock Dunkel ($98), a dark beer with a smooth and creamy finish. Beer lovers will be clinking their mugs and shouting ‘Proust!’ because you can get beer hampers in three different sizes. With its distinctive malt flavour, the Weltenburger Kloster Winter-Traum will make a perfect Christmas gift.
You can also admire the wooden huts all decked out with Christmas gifts, like the traditional roasted caramelised almonds. Mmm, I can already smell that toasty nutty fragrance. You can also choose from a few festive tea blends like Rose Marzipan and Mint and Ceylon Cinnamon Spice.
Look forward to a lavish Christmas feast with their festive menu. Christmas is a time for family and friends, and the Christmas Platter ($138) is perfect for sharing. The oven-roasted pork knuckle is definitely the highlight of this platter, iconic as it is at German Christmas markets.
For those with a sweet tooth, the Christmas Dessert Medley ($29) is a must-try. Toasty apple strudels, chocolate cakes and gingerbread-infused crème brulee make up this sweet delight. Don’t miss the Christmas Glühwein, a red wine with notes of cinnamon and orange! It’s a German Christmas tradition, after all.
