New in Town: Caffe Sprouts – Farm-to-table cafe in KL with fresh rice bowls & healthy pasta

Before buying groceries or sitting down to dine at a new restaurant, how much time do you spend researching the origins of the food you’re about to consume? After all, you are what you eat, right? At Caffe Sprouts in Kuala Lumpur, customers don’t have to think twice.

Caffe Sprouts is a farm-to-table cafe that sources all of its ingredients from local farms that it has partnered with. This way, you’re guaranteed fresh produce that’s been sourced sustainably.

Kuala Lumpur folks may not be entirely unfamiliar with this menu— before the launch of this cafe on 13 Jun 2023, their food was served under NoLabel Cuisines at Tiffin at the Yard. After being shown a massive amount of support from customers, they decided to finally open up a brick and mortar store so that fans can dine in at a permanent location.

With health and deliciousness in mind, the cafe’s menu includes pasta, rice bowls, and small plates. They have Creamy Laksa Pesto with Smoked Duck (RM26), and Angus Beef Momodoro (RM38) made with their homemade MomoDoro sauce and strips of angus beef.

In need of some rice? They offer filling eats like Bowl of the Sea (RM32) that comes with cured and grilled mackerel with laksa pesto, as well as Ayam Bakar (RM25) featuring their signature grilled chicken with bird’s eye chillies.

If you’re looking for a vegetarian option, check out their Farmer’s Harvest (RM28), a rice bowl with heirloom and momotaro tomatoes, fried tofu, grilled cauliflower, an egg, and even more greens. 

For extra bites to munch on, Caffe Sprouts even serves add-on small plates. Try their Aburi Purple Corn (RM9) made with highland purple corn and nori mayo, or the Heirloom Tomato Salad (RM8) which uses tomatoes from our very own Cameron Highlands!
