Kopitiam by day, club by night. Paying homage to our local neighbourhood cafes, Cherry Discotheque, aka Cherry located in the Central Business District (CBD), has recently opened “Cherry Kopitiam” in the very space of their signature chequered dance floor.

Prepare to be spoilt for choice with classics like braised pork belly and classier options like sotong rings. Cheekily regarded as CBD’s best cai fan, expect a mouth-watering selection of more than 15 dishes with ingredients prepared by Cherry’s sister concept, Shiok Shiok Night Market.

Ye Ji Cooked Food: Delicious and affordable home cooked-style Cantonese cai fan

To closely replicate the authentic experience of eating at a legit kopitiam, Cherry Kopitiam has recognisable round foldable tables and plastic stools illuminated under the glow of neon lights. There are definitely many Instagrammable photo spots to explore!

I personally love that all orders are served in an iconic dabao packaging that is commonly seen in Singapore’s hawker centres but specially designed with a Cherry-like touch.

Despite being situated in the CBD, the price is reasonably affordable too – among the multiple combinations you can choose from, you can enjoy 2 choices of meat and 1 vegetable for around S$5. Not bad!

What’s more, tucked away in Cherry’s ‘kitchen’ is a space with fresh bakes from Baker’s Well. Satisfy your sweet tooth with their highly-raved muffins that come in an assortment of flavours like banana walnut and blueberry vanilla.

The first announcement of Cherry Kopitiam on 1 Apr not only included Cherry’s dabao packaging but a cup of bubble tea. Will there be a beverage menu coming soon? A side of kopi or teh will complete the ultimate kopitiam experience.

Operating exclusively till the end of this month, Cherry Kopitiam is open from 11am to 3pm with a limited amount of food only. If you are around the area, hurry and head down to grab a quick lunch!
