Unable to find a successor to the brand, Uggli Muffins closed both their outlets back in Oct this year. Looks like we’ll have one less spot to get delicious bakes as Chocolat N’ Spice will be shuttering their Tanjong Pagar outlet on 23 Dec 2023.

A post on the ORIGINAL Can Eat! Hawker Food group shared a notice announcing that the stall will be ”ceasing operations at Tanjong Pagar Plaza, #01-18 after 19 years”, explaining that ”It has been a very few tough years as costs and overheads are very high, and we have been operating at a loss.”

Not to worry, as Chocolat N’ Spice is continuing operations at their other 2 locations at Telok Blangah and Shunfu Mart. The Tanjong Pagar staff will be relocated to the former to assist with delivery services.

The pastry business first began at Shunfu Mart, finding success and later expanding to the CBD. It seems they previously also used to operate an outlet at Taman Jurong.
