My favourite time of the year is just around the corner, and even though we don’t get the cold and snow, Christmas in Singapore still gets pretty darn festive. December can only mean one thing – it’s Christmas food and shopping galore on our little island!
Restaurants everywhere are probably going to be packed on the big day, and if you’re like me and are hoping for a cosier Christmas this year, all hope is not lost. Have your own memorable festive feast at home this 2016 by ordering from any of these 10 Christmas Takeaway Menus.
The best part? You don’t even have to worry about cooking anything yourself.
1. Mandarin Orchard Singapore
Mandarin Orchard definitely got the jump on Christmas takeaway menus this year, and we’re loving the range and quality of what the kitchen has to offer. Wow your friends and family with an alternative Christmas dinner by serving a crispy golden Roasted London Duck with Chinese Herbs (2.8kg, $85) as the main for the night and one of Mandarin Orchard’s delectable yule logs for dessert.
The Asian flavours on the duck were perfect with the thin layer of crispy fat in the skin and don’t even get me started on the Red Velvet Yule Log (1kg, $80). What a festive way to end a delicious meal with icing that good!

PARKROYAL on Pickering’s Lime Restaurant is already famous for its buffets and they’ve got a great one lined up for Christmas this year. What’s even better is that they also have Gourmet Gifts and Sweet Delights that you can take home to share with the family.
Order the more traditional Honey Baked Ham (2.5kg, $88) or opt for Christmas with a twist with the Whole Roasted Turkey and choose from a range of flavours like Apple and Cider, Onion and Sage, Kaffir Lime, Lemongrass and Galangal or Turkey Percik style. I know right, Percik Turkey?? A fusion Christmas meal awaits.

3. Da Paolo Gastronomia
My family and I have been enjoying takeaway from Da Paolo Gastronomia since forever, and their Italian spin on roasts means the meat stays succulent and juicy. No more dry Christmas turkeys!
Roasts are traditionally served whole and it’s always a bit of a chore trying to get all the meat off the bones. Da Paolo Gastronomia’s Christmas takeaway roast selection does away with that and you can order the Classic Deboned Roast Turkey (approx. 5kg, $225) or the Deboned Roast Chicken (approx, 2kg, $88) stuffed with potatoes, Italian pork sausage and herbs.
Christmas dinner doesn’t get simpler than this.
View the whole festive menu here (available till 31st Dec 2016) and collect your orders from any of the Da Paolo Gastronomia outlets.

4. Deli Hub Catering
Order the Christmas Party Pack ($289 w/o GST) which features both meats and many other festive favourites like Gourmet Chipolata Sausages and Golden Breaded Fish Fillet with Wasabi Mayo. Desserts like the Petite Chocolate Log Cake is also included in the pack and is sure to be a hit with the kids.
For more unconventional Christmas flavours, perhaps try the Yuzu Sesame Turkey (4.5kg, $128.80), which is an Asian twist to the original that is as yummy as it sounds. To view the entire Christmas takeaway menu, buffet packages and other options, click here (available from now till 2nd Jan 2017).

5. The Song Of India
Ever dreamt of having a Michelin-starred meal right in the comfort of your own home? The Song of India is joining in on the Christmas celebrations with a takeaway like no other.
Order a whole…wait for it…Tandoori Turkey ($119) and celebrate this festive season with local flavours. If you’re feeling even more adventurous (and hungry), go for the Tandoori Turkey Stuffed With Morel Briyani ($139).
I never thought I’d see the day where briyani could fit into almost every aspect of my life.
The Tandoori Turkey is available for order from 18th to 31st Dec, and two days advance booking is needed. Collection is from 12pm to 3pm and 6pm to 10pm from the restaurant itself.

6. Morganfield’s
If you’re already tired of having roast turkeys and chickens for Christmas no matter the flavour, Morganfield’s is the solution. Ribs (or Sticky Bones) are the name of the game here, and the Christmas takeaway menu is truly something to get excited about.
Morgan’s Christmas Feast ($160.39) is ideal for a small dinner party with your best friends. Two half slabs of Sticky Bones (Cranberry & Hazelnut), Crackling Pork Roast (600g), Gammon Ham and Sausages are served with a bunch of tempting sides. Pigging out this Christmas has never seemed like a better idea.
Order online here and arrange for self pick up from their outlets (Vivocity, Suntec, Star Vista) or opt for delivery to make life that much easier.

7. The Deli (Goodwood Park Hotel)
We’re back to interesting flavoured Christmas classics and The Deli at Goodwood Park Hotel’s ‘Wu Xi’ Turkey ($218) looks pretty authentic. This hearty Asian-inspired dish will serve eight to ten people and I’d happily swap potatoes for Shanghai-style vegetable fried rice for a change this year.
No Christmas meal would be complete without dessert and The Deli has quite the range for you to choose from. Having chosen a less common route with the main, I’d recommend going for a traditional log cake with elevated flavours like the Summer Berries Mousse & Passionfruit cream with chocolate brownie log cake (1kg, $76). Wow, that’s going to be a mouthful of awesome.
Citi, DBS/POSB, OCBC and UOB Credit & Debit Cardmembers enjoy 20% off from 1st to 13th Dec 2016; and 15% off from 14th to 26th Dec 2016.

8. Cafe Noel (Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford)
Speaking of desserts, there’s nothing quite like Cafe Noel’s that will wow your guests at home. The award-winning culinary team at Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford have created seven new stunning festive cakes filled with fresh and bright flavours to liven up any party.
The Coconut Almond Tart (0.5kg, $32/ 1kg, $62) is certainly going to stand out, with a perfect blend of coconut and almond in the buttery tart base and a Christmas tree sticky sponge cake on top. My favourite, however, has to be the Ruby Peach Raspberry Mousse Cake (0.5kg, $43 / 1kg, $84) that’s been made to look like Santa’s Belly.
Almond mousse cake is layered with peach and raspberry marmalade and covered in a ruby glaze chocolate dome. This is one Christmas dessert that’s going to be remembered for years to come.
Check out the entire Christmas festive treats menu here (including all other yummy dinner components) and place your order from now till 20th December 2016. Both delivery and self collection options are available.
OCBC / BOS and The Far Card members enjoy additional discounts.

9. Cold Storage
Probably the most underrated on this list, Cold Storage actually does a pretty decent Christmas takeaway and I’m sure many a family have benefited from their selection of roast meats, platters and complements. The online Christmas catalogue is so diverse and even comes with tips and tricks to master some culinary Christmas necessities.
If you’re planning a big party, I’d recommend checking out the Christmas Feasts like the Fancy Christmas Feast ($109.95). Your guests and you will be spoilt with a selection of meats like Rosemary Chicken with chestnut stuffing and brown Sauce (2.2kg), Primo Picnic Bone-in Ham (2.9kg) and Ribeye Roast Beef with herbs and brown sauce (1kg).
Order online here and collect from one of their many stores from now till 20th Dec 2016!

10. The Butcher’s Dog
Your local butcher may surprise you and serve a whole menu other than raw cuts of meat. This year, check out The Butcher’s Dog for a Christmas feast that will leave you with literally nothing else to do on Christmas day except unbutton your jeans and prepare for gluttony.
Traditional roasts aside, I’d happily cosy up to this Beef Wellington (500g, $59.99/ 1kg, $99.99). Buttery pastry encasing a perfectly cooked slab of beef? I might just have to throw a Christmas party for one.
Place your orders here and don’t forget to get enough Traditional Fruit Mince Pies ($12.99 for eight) to last the night!
The Butcher’s Dog: 1 Kim Seng Promenade #B2-11/12, Great World City, Singapore 237994 | Opening Hours: 9:30am to 9pm Daily | Tel: +65 6836 8498 | Website
Christmas day is still a couple of weeks away but I can almost no longer contain my excitement. Why battle the throngs of merry-makers when you can throw an equally unforgettable celebration at home?
These takeaway menus will let you surround yourselves with the ones you love and focus on spending time with them instead of slaving over the stove. After all, that’s what Christmas is all about.
