Cinnabon started as a father-son duo in Dec 1958, with their first outlet at Seattle, Washington. Currently, Cinnabon is operating in more than 50 countries including Cyprus, Greece and even South-East Asian countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia. Cinnabon is also under the Focus Brands group which has familiar brands such as Auntie Anne’s at its helm.

Their claim to fame, the Cinnabon Classic Roll, too has its own story. The cinnamon used isn’t your run-off-the-mill brand but instead is exclusively known as Makara Cinnamon and is only found in the mountains of West Sumatra. Their frosting, Ooey-Gooey, is a cream cheese frosting that adds another layer of depth to the baked goods. They even sell the frostings in pints!

The other flavour available is the Caramel PecanBon which features the signature Classic Roll that’s topped with decadent caramel frosting and pecans. There’s also the Churro Swirl, a baked churro snack that’s topped with Makara Cinnamon and sugar. Interestingly, they also sell the Center of the Roll in cups which is available in Classic and Caramel PecanBon.

Cinnabon’s drink options are also as stellar as you can pair your rolls with Hot Cocoa or Cinnamon Roll Cold Brew Iced Coffee. If you prefer your drinks blended you can opt for the Chillattas with flavours such as OREO Cookies & Cream Chillatta and Double Chocolate Mocha Chillatta. I personally can’t wait to get my hands on a fresh classic roll!
