The cafe scene in Singapore is more diverse than people thought it to be. We’ve had a 2D monochrome cafe with hand-drawn designs and even an autumn-themed Korean cafe, complete with a canopy of autumn foliage. The recent addition to that list is Cloud, and as you might’ve guessed from its name, it’s a cloud-themed cafe located at 1A Duxton Hill.

Cloud - Interior Shot

Cloud fully embodies its name, with white and puffy cloud-like decorations hanging over the baristas and in the middle of the cafe.

Like most cafes these days, it is extremely minimal in design with the ample use of muted colours like grey and white (perhaps to mimic the colour of clouds). Those colours, along with natural sunlight from the windows and skylight, make this a soon-to-be Instaworthy Mecca.

Cloud - In-house bakeWhilst you adore the interior, you can also munch on their fresh in-house bakes.

Displayed openly near the entrance of the cafe are their confectionery options. You can choose items such as Banana Bread (S$5)Strawberry Lemon Cake (S$5)Fruit Cake Crumble (S$6)Sea Salt Chocolate Cookie (S$2), Butter Cookies (S$3.50) and Brownie with Miso Caramel (S$6). Do note that some of the baked goods are seasonal.

Cloud - Coffee and Brownie

Their coffee options don’t disappoint too, with coffee sourced from Double Up Coffee using single-origin Brazilian beans. You have options such as Espresso (S$3), Double Espresso (S$3.50), White (S$5.50/S$6), Black (S$5/S$5.50) and Mocha (S$6/S$6.50). You can add an extra shot for S$0.50 and Soymilk at S$1.

Note that Cloud is still in its soft launch phase, so diners can look forward to an extended menu once they’ve fully launched in the future.

If you have a thing for clouds (like me), you don’t have to wait for the rainy season anymore!
