ComfortDelGro Launches ComfortDelivery to Help Cabbies Earn Their Keep

Amidst theCircuit Breaker’ period, many of us have turned to food deliveries. ComfortDelivery is a new delivery platform that allows any F&B outlet to tap on its fleet of 10,000 taxis to deliver meals right to our doorstep. Any F&B outlet can go into the ComfortDelivery webpage to sign up for an account and gain immediate access and utilise the features.

ComfortDelGro suggested that “unlike other food delivery services, all fees go directly to the cabbies pockets“. This way, drivers would be able to earn some extra income during these trying times. Drivers will have to bid for the delivery jobs via the ComfortDelivery driver app, and upon collection, F&B outlets will pay them via PayNow or by cash.

Distance rates will apply from S$6.50 for the first 3km, but eateries can also choose to include two drop-offs in one booking at rates starting from S$8.50. This service is available from 9am – 10pm and has been on trial to iron out teething problems. Fret not, F&B outlets can track the location of the taxi and the time in which the cabbies deliver the orders through the platform.

By creating a win-win scenario for both F&B businesses and transport providers, I don’t see anything from stopping F&B business owners from creating an account, so let’s all band together as a nation and support one another!
