When you think of pet cafes, you think of fluffy cats and playful puppies. Cute, soft animals that spend their days napping in the corner of a room or wagging their tails.

At Fangs by Dekõri located in Bandar Sunway, customers will experience something completely different. Feast on ice cold desserts with the cafe’s cold-blooded friends, as Fangs serves up sweet treats in a room full of reptiles.

These scaly friends are all pets of 20 year-old founder Yap Ming Yang. His collection consists of snakes, frogs, lizards, spiders, and gerbils. Worry not— he assures the public that these animals are living in safe conditions as he’s been taking care of them for years.

If the manager is in, you have the opportunity to touch these reptiles and take Insta-worthy pictures to show off to your friends and family. Afterwards, customers are required to sanitise their hands before eating— just a couple of the few strict SOPs to ensure the safety of both the customers and reptiles.

This cafe is a collaboration between the young entrepreneur and Dekõri, a popular dessert franchise that has been making waves across Malaysia. At Fangs, indulge yourself in Dekõri’s signature sweets like their kakigori, waffles, taufufa, and taro milk. Additionally, they also have hot food like pasta.

They have a variety of kakigori flavours to choose from, like Strawberry Cheese, Matcha, and Gula Melaka (starting from RM18.90). You’ve probably seen their taro milk (RM10.90) on social media before— the colourful taro balls and adorable frozen milk bear are served in a small bathtub.

Reptile enthusiasts should definitely pay a visit to Fangs by Dekõri.
