Calling out to all bread lovers out there in KL — we have good news for you! We spotted the trending thousand-layer milk toast from GBB Bakery Melaka in KL! Now, you don’t need to travel the long journey anymore to have a taste of their toast. The bakery has opened 2 outlets here: at Pandan Indah and Pandan Perdana.

Strategically situated, GBB Bakery aims to bring its bread to the Ampang and Cheras areas. The thousand-layer bread is named Melaleuca Milk Toast (RM9.80 each); the bread is available in 2 enticing flavours: Original and Cheese. The bread is all freshly baked and served on the same day.

Don’t worry if you see a “SOLD OUT” sign at the door! Due to high demand, the bakery has decided to take only walk-in orders. 2 batches of freshly baked Melaleuca Milk Toast are prepared daily. It’s available in-store at 2pm sharp everyday and a “first come first serve” basis is being implemented. The shop will operate until 8.30pm daily.
However, according to the crowd, a lengthy queue already forms outside the shop even at 1:50 pm.. But, fret not! You’ll be given a queue number to secure a slot if stock’s still available.

As the name suggests, the Melaleuca Milk Toast is viral for the thousands of super thin layers. The toast can easily be torn off and you can see a translucent layer of the milk toast.
For the Honey Cheese flavours, the middle of the toast is filled with a generous amount of molten cheese lava. You can also taste a little bit of sweetness in the filling as there’s honey in it. I’m sure you won’t want to miss out on this, especially if you’re a cheese lover.
Would you queue up for this viral toast? I certainly will! Do keep an eye on GBB Bakery’s Instagram page for more information.
