Generation Coffee Roasters first started out in Nov 2020 at Tekka Centre where they still remain. Previously, the owners founded PORE Coffee, a multi-roaster subscription platform for home brewers. That venture was cut short by the circuit breaker in 2020.

Then, they moved on to AhBoy Beverages, a small home-based business selling cold brews. As Singapore was slowly opening up after the circuit breaker, they had the idea of setting up a physical store so more could enjoy their coffee.

It goes without saying that the coffee beans used are freshly ground and brewed from an espresso machine; you might be forgiven for thinking you’re in one of those fancy (and overpriced) cafes!

They also use different blends for different coffees such as the Pioneer Blend which is a mixture of roasted quality Vietnam Robusta and Brazil Arabica beans for their traditional kopi menu.

Promising to bridge the gap between traditional and speciality coffee, it has a simple yet extensive menu. For starters, you can still enjoy traditional coffees such as Kopi-O (S$1.50/S$2)Kopi (S$1.60/S$2.10) and Kopi-C (S$1.70/S$2.20). There’s even traditional tea with options like Teh-O (S$1.50/S$2)Teh (S$1.60/S$2.10) and Teh-C (S$1.70/S$2.20).

As for their speciality coffee, you’ll be spoilt for choice with options such as Espresso (S$2.60), Americano (S$3.10/S$3.60), Flat White (S$3.60)Mocha (S$4/S$4.50) and Dirty Matcha (S$4/S$4.50).

If coffee isn’t your thing, you can have their non-coffee options such as Masala Chai Soy Latte (S$4)Chocolate (S$3.50/S$4), Matcha Latte (S$3.50/S$4) and Babyccino (S$2).
