Slurp ’til you burp at this seafood feast! When it comes to decadent seafood, few are quite as indulgent as oysters. And if you’re too s(h)elfish to share the love when these goodies land on your plate, you ought to scurry to this French oyster festival happening in the heart of the Bugis district.
Hosted by Ginett Restaurant & Wine Bar, which made waves in the food industry for being an affordable restaurant for French food in Singapore, this month-long oyster festival shines the spotlight on not just any mollusc, but the “Royal Oyster” Grand Cru de France which has been cultivated for over five generations.
In fact, this event will even be graced by the presence of two longstanding oyster farmers from France. Any burning questions on the best way to eat oysters? Just ask these masters.
Served individually at prices starting from $5 — or in a portion of three, six, or a dozen — these oysters can be eaten raw, steamed, gratin-baked, poached in fritters, or however you fancy.
On the menu, imported all the way from France, will be the oyster La Royale N1, La Royale N3, Wild oyster N3 and Fine Selection. And with Ginett’s astounding wine selection, trust us when we say that you’ll be spoilt for choice for the perfect pairing.
Dates: 28 September – 31 October 2017
