Golden Village Downtown East opens on 27 Nov with special promos

Beloved cinema chain Golden Village is coming to the east of Singapore! The theatre will be located at Downtown East, in a space previously occupied by a cinema operated by Cathay Cineplexes, which ceased operations a few months ago. And with this new opening come fresh promos!

100 free movie tickets daily

These opening specials will kick off on 27 Nov, the same day as Golden Village’s official opening at Downtown East. During the first week of opening from 27 Nov to 3 Dec, 100 free movie tickets are up for grabs daily. To be eligible for redemption of these free movie tickets, visitors simply have to spend at least S$5 on food & beverage items at the Golden Village Downtown East box office. 

Note that these free movie vouchers are available exclusively at the Downtown East cinema only; online bookings are not eligible for this promotion. Also, Disney fans should note that these free tickets are unfortunately not usable for the new ‘Zootopia 2’ film.

All-Day Rates for students & seniors

Calling all students and seniors who are reading this! From 27 Nov to 30 Jan, you get to enjoy special all-day rates for movie tickets from Mon to Fri. For students, movie tickets are just S$7, while for seniors, tickets are discounted even more to S$5.

Remember to bring along your ID if you’re dropping by Golden Village Downtown East! Each ID is valid for 1 discounted ticket purchase only. Another detail to note is that this promotion is not available on public holidays and the eve of public holidays. So if you’re planning a movie date for Christmas or New Year’s, you would have to purchase movie tickets at the usual price.
