As a food publication, we are always thinking about the best places to eat. But when people are unsure of when their next meal will be, it forces all of us to take a hard look at the privileges we have. Of course, we all want to help, but where do we begin? With goodbees, Singapore’s first food sponsorship marketplace, it makes it easier for beneficiaries to receive help as well as organisations to help people.
Like all useful things in 2021, everything is streamlined in an app. If you’d like your meal to be sponsored, this is how you do it. First, make sure that the organisation you are associated with is on the goodbees app. Then, register your account and set up your food preferences. Once you’re finished, you’ll see the list of food on your screen, and all you have to do is redeem your meal. This way, food is shared and sold on demand, which means less wastage and no delay.
For organisations that want to help beneficiaries to sponsor a meal, it’s even easier. All they have to do is sign up on the app, and after confirmation, they can reach out to individual beneficiaries or participating organisations. It’s a multi-pronged approach that aims to bolster the F&B community through sponsorships and exposure, and connect beneficiaries and willing organisations.
The goodbees app is currently only available for download on the Google Play store here. With an initiative like this, it takes the hassle out of sponsoring a meal for someone. We can always do more to help those vulnerable in our society, and goodbees does exactly that.
