Imagine delicious German-engineered burgers in collaboration with local Singaporean cultural dishes, to produce a gastronomic fusion of the two cuisines.
Now that dream is more than alive with the introduction of Hans Im Glück‘s newest creations, just in time for National Day!
The specially-curated-for-Singapore menu sees the debut of the establishment’s first and only seafood burger, titled the KRABBE Burger (S$16). Sourdough bread tops the crispy soft-shell crab and with spicy-sweet chilli sauce to recreate the famous chilli crab. The taste was good, but we only wished for a larger-sized portion of crab.
The German burgergrill is also introducing a uniquely Singaporean inspired entrée in the BEEF RENDANG Burger ($S16). The beef rendang burger had a heartier bite, and the rendang sauce is familiarly close to the authentic Malay beef dish.
The last innovative-creation from the European eatery appears in a form of a triple-mocktail daintily termed the Singapore Rose (S$8). This beautifully crafted beverage boasts a signature collection of Singaporean tropical ingredients in: coconut milk, mango, gula melaka and rose syrup, garnished with coconut shavings and edible flowers!
The dream collab has happened! National Day is fast approaching, and we love the creative liberty of these establishments to embrace their new home. Guten Appetit my friends.
