During their 13 long years of operation, Hard Rock Cafe at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) has garnered quite the loyal fanbase. So, it is a no brainer when many were devastated at the closure of the place on 7 May 2023.
Having originated from Los Angeles in the United States, Hard Rock Cafe is famed for their American classics like burgers and ribs. This famous chain has also gained the reputation of being one of the best family restaurants out there.
Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa announced this saddening news via a Facebook post. They continued on to thank customers for their support throughout their operation. Many commenters have expressed their fond memories of the place, as they were upset by news of the closure.
The reasoning given behind the closure was RWS’ plans for their redevelopment. As of the second quarter of 2022, RWS had announced that they would commence their expansion plans. The Forum area is likewise not excluded from this redevelopment plan.
Hard Rock Cafe seems to be on the fence with the decision to shift back after the completion of the expansion. The cafe does have the possibility of opening elsewhere, and will announce on their social media if such a decision is made. However, there’s no need to be troubled. Although their outlet at Sentosa has bid adieu, the one at Cuscaden Road is here to stay. Thankfully, their famous dishes won’t be gone for good!
Hard Rock might (or might not) be missing from Sentosa when redevelopment has completed, but the chain cafe is not truly gone for good. Need a place to enjoy good food with your friends and family?
