With the influx of fresh faced health aficionados around the block, salad bars in Singapore have been popping up around town, suitable for a quick and healthy meal replacement instead of piling on the calories at the local fast food joint.
I’m sure this healthy fad is here to stay, and while we’re at it, these salad bars are a definite worth your visit. Who can resist a tasty yet healthy meal? These salad places prove that something so healthy can be yummy too.

They have luxurious add-ons like Sous-vide & Chargrilled Salmon, Grilled Striploin Steak and Apple Kimchi. My personal favourite is the Roasted Butternut Squash & Sweet Potato which is seasoned to sweet-savoury perfection.

Though best known for its sandwiches, Gaest also offers fresh salads at $14 that shuffle daily. Expect items like Watermelon Salad on Mondays, Pumpkin & Lentil Salad on Tuesdays and Beetroot Salad on Fridays.
I tried the Quinoa Salad on Wednesday and found it quite yummy, full of crunchy bits like Apricots and Roasted Almonds scattered amongst a lush serving of greens and Fresh Mint. Their soups are also delicious and homemade, and you can get a half-half of salad & soup if you can’t decide between the two.
