Whenever my family pays a visit to IKEA for whatever household furniture we’re currently in need of, I always make it a point to stop by the food section for some hot Swedish Meatballs, or a S$0.50 Vanilla Soft-Serve Ice Cream, at the very least. Now, I know I’ll be going there for something other than those two dishes, with their new menu items.
IKEA needs no introduction, what with it being one of the largest and most well-loved homeware giants across the world. They are known for their easy-to-assemble furniture—suitable for all ages, dimensions and surroundings. They’ve also made a name for themselves in providing easy-to-prepare Swedish cuisine, like meatballs, waffles, and even freshly-prepared food daily.
Just this January, they launched their very own bakkwa and Mandarin oranges to celebrate Chinese New Year. Recently, they unveiled their newest menu items and I am itching to visit IKEA, just to try these out. If you haven’t heard about them yet, here’s the rundown on everything new on their menu.
The Spicy Hot Chicken Wings (S$9.50) will be available for a limited time only from now to 31 March 2020.
This next dish is definitely something to try—Half Lobster With Laksa Spaghetti (S$14.90), available from now till 31 May 2o2o.
The Swedish Apple Cake (S$2.50) will be a permanent addition to the menu.
The Baked Rosemary Chicken Whole Leg With Mashed Potato (S$7.90) is available from now till 31 May 2020.
The 12 pieces Veggie Ball With Couscous And Sour Cream (S$6.50) will be available from now till 31 May 2020.
The Chicken Cutlet With Aglio Olio (S$7.90) is part of their Halal Food range, and is available from now till 31 May 2020 at IKEA Tampines only. You can also add a slice of Cheese Cake to make it a set for S$10.50.
Lastly, the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake (S$4) is also part of their Halal Food range and will be available from now till 31 May 2020 at IKEA Tampines only.
Hopefully, these new menu items taste as good as they sound!
