Are you a big fan of Irvins salted egg products? Their Salted Egg Fish Skins are widely known for being addictively good.

I have always noticed that besides the popularity of Irvins among locals, tourists flock all over Irvins’ outlets to grab several bags of their salted egg snacks to bring back to their hometown.

But now, there’s a new salted egg member of the Irvins family—their new Salted Egg Zig Zag Potato Chips!

According to Irvins, the Zig-Zag cut makes it crunchier, and helps retain more salted egg goodness in a single chip. So much richness in a crunch, but wouldn’t it be too sickening after a while?

I initially wondered if the chips were intentionally smashed into pieces, because I found them already broken up into tiny pieces.

Correct me if I’m wrong Irvins, but perhaps the Salted Egg Zig Zag Potato Chips were made this way to prevent the cloying flavour from stopping us to finish an entire bag of chips?

As I attacked the Salted Egg Zig Zag Potato Chips, I couldn’t stop. The potato chips had the right amount of crispness and crunch to it—somewhat close to the crispness of cornflakes.

Flavour-wise, it wasn’t overly rich, and I would actually choose this over some other potato chips that are usually too salty for my liking. There was no MSG taste masking the flavour of the chips as well, which was a huge plus point from me.

Well, the paper bag said it,“#dangerouslyaddictive”. I had to stop myself from over-indulging in the potato chips before the bottom of the packet can be seen.

This dish possibly could be a side dish for your Western meal, or maybe as a snack at work or school.

Grab your very own Salted Egg Zig Zag Potato Chips, which is currently available at all kiosks and their online store for S$8 (105g), S$16 (230g).
