Kati Lok Lok has recently opened its second outlet on 7 Dec 2022 at Wah & Steven’s Corner, a coffeeshop along Upper Thomson Road. Kati Lok Lok first started operations on 4 Sep 2021 at 2 Venture Drive in Jurong East serving a taste of Malaysian cuisines and a variety of lok loks.
For the uninitiated, lok lok (which means to dip in Cantonese) is food skewered on sticks that you dip into boiling water, deep-fry or grill. Following that would be a second dipping into sauces that usually consists of chilli sauce, sweet sauce and spicy peanut sauce.
Lok loks are a massively popular roadside dish in Malaysia, especially in Penang and Kuching, and are typically available very late at night, which makes them the perfect supper snack.
Kati Lok Lok has 3 categories of fried lok loks: Plain (S$1.10), Green (S$1.60) and Red (S$2.10). Some of the fried lok loks includes luncheon meat, meatballs, tofu skins, eggplants, lotus roots, prawns and squids. The sauces include chilli, satay and sweet Thai chilli.
To commemorate the new outlet, you get free 3 plain lok loks with a purchase of 12 lok loks at their Upper Thomson Road outlet from now till 1 Jan 2023. There are also à la carte dishes that are available such as Boston Lobster (Whole/Half) (S$22.90/S$11.90), Curry Pig Skin with Long Bean (S$4.50) and Kimchi Gyoza (S$4.50).
Kati Lok Lok’s Malaysian cuisines options are also stellar with options such as Ipoh Nasi Lemak (S$5.50), Ipoh Curry Chee Cheong Fun (S$5.50), Dry Noodle (S$4.50), Curry Chicken Nasi Lemak (S$6.90) and Braised Pork Rice (S$6). Experience Malaysian cuisine that’s a MRT stop away!
