While we all know under-HDBs house your standard convenience stalls, coffee shops, and supermarkets, lately we’ve been seeing a rise in cafes popping up in such areas as well. Ki-mochi in Ang Mo Kio, the latest addition to these under-the-block cafes, has taken mochi lovers by storm as they eagerly line up for the store’s TikTok-viral mochi pancakes.
Of course, the star of the show is the Signature Mochi Pancake (S$4.50), featuring two mochi pancakes that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, drizzled with brown sugar syrup and sprinkled with kinako powder. Other options include Waffles – both Mochi (S$6) and Plain (S$4.50) – or if you’re completely in the mood for something else, get the Chocolate Lava Cake (S$6.50).
Don’t forget to add on their gelato scoops. Take your pick of a Single (S$4.50) or Double (S$8), and choose from over 10 gelato flavours with interesting picks like Blue Pea Lemongrass, Osmanthus Oolong, and Lavender Earl Grey.
The best part is the Ki-mochi opens till late, making them the perfect place to visit if you’re in the area and happen to have any late-night sweet cravings – or if you want something cooling to beat the blistering heat in Singapore.
