Ciao! Looking for some award-winning gourmet Romana pizzas? Look no further for Chef Radostin Kiryazov, dubbed the ‘God of Italian Pizza’, is here with his first overseas outpost, L’Arte Pizza & Focaccia. Set to open on 9 May 2022, the Bulgarian ‘God of Italian Pizza’ is a famed pizza master (or rather, God).
Before I begin, let’s start with a brief introduction to Romana pizza. The Romana pizza is very different from the usual Neapolitan-style pizzas we’re used to, its ultra-thin, crispy, and charred rims are close to non-existent! Heaps of olive oil are added to the dough to give the pizza additional flavour and texture, and is cooked at a lower temperature.
No stranger to the scene, Chef Rado is one of the best masters of pizza in the world with over 30 years of experience in kneading the best dough, with multiple prestigious awards under his belt. He’s also one of the members of the jury at the annual World Pizza Championship. How cool is that?
Come 9 May, L’Arte Pizza & Focaccia (located right above Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, outside Guoco Tower), will grace its doors to sunny Singapore. Expect to find hand-kneaded pizzas, made with flour imported exclusively from Italy, get stretched with a rolling pin upon order.
Whether you have a sweet tooth, are a vegetarian or are a cheese lover, you best bet L’Arte Pizza & Focaccia has a slice of tasty rectangle piece for everyone!
