Multinational athletic apparel retailer lululemon is set to unveil a new store concept at Ngee Ann City on 17 Jul, the brand’s first in Southeast Asia with an integrated studio.
Located in the heart of Orchard Road, this location marks a new chapter in the brand’s commitment to community. It integrates retail and movement in an immersive space.
Designed to spark joy through movement, the space combines lululemon’s signature product offerings with yoga and reformer sessions by the mindfulness studio Within.
The studio has been created in collaboration with Betty Kong, founder of Within. “This space is a love letter to everything I’ve learned about slowing down,” said Kong. “Our vision at Within is to empower individuals on their journey of self-discovery and holistic wellness.
To build something in partnership with lululemon where my journey in wellness began feels like a return to purpose. Within is about holding space for yourself and each other. This studio at Takashimaya Shopping Centre is a continuation of that story,” added Betty Kong.
Kong, who is also a lululemon community member, shares a deep connection with the brand. Her focus on well-being also brings a meaningful layer to the guest experience.
The store itself will feature geometric lighting, warm oak finishes, and ceiling lattices inspired by shophouse patios. This creates a fluid, immersive space where technology meets nature. With thoughtful materials used and a serene changing area, the design reflects lululemon’s commitment to combining athletic innovation with mindful living.
The announcement came just a month after the retailer relocated its Marina Bay Sands store to a new location within the mall. In May, lululemon also opened its first store in the West at JEM Mall and a new travel-friendly outlet at Changi Airport Terminal 1.
