Can someone hit pause on time? It’s already April and time is racing by super fast. I’m really glad that most of you find this monthly hawker centre cleaning series useful. Imagine travelling halfway across the other end of Singapore to your favourite food centre with your family, only to discover that your meal plans have been ruined due to washing.

Spend a brief moment looking through this list of markets and hawker centres scheduled for spring cleaning in April 2024. Don’t worry, there are only 16 of them this time and won’t take up much of your time— I assure you, it’s not an April Fool’s joke!

1 Apr 2024:

  • 112 Bukit Merah Market & Food Centre (112 Jalan Bukit Merah)

1 to 3 Apr 2024:

For those planning a trip to Pulau Ubin or looking to enjoy a relaxing stroll along the Changi Coast, make alternative makan plans during these 3 days. I suggest Pranakorn (avoid the 2.30pm – 5.30pm period) for its yummy Thai food or visit SG Food Court for delicious hawker favourites.

8 Apr 2024:

  • Sembawang Hills Food Centre (590 Upper Thomson Road)

15 Apr 2024:

  • Block 16 Bedok South Market & Food Centre (16 Bedok South Road)
  • Circuit Road Market & Food Centre (80 Circuit Road)
  • Telok Blangah Rise Market & Food Centre (36 Telok Blangah Rise)

15 to 16 Apr 2024:

For those working around Clementi and West Coast, avoid Ayer Rajah Food Centre during these 2 days and head to West Coast Food Centre instead. Cyclists, joggers and beach goers at East Coast Park, I’m really sorry that you’ll not be able to enjoy satay, fresh coconut and other delights these 2 days.
