If you’ve given any (or even all) of our stay home recipes a shot, consider this article especially dedicated to you, because—wait for it—the casting call for MasterChef Singapore Season 3 is now open. As long as you’re a Singaporean or Permanent Resident who’s not currently a professional chef, or has not worked as one previously, you’re eligible to apply.

For your audition, all you need to do is cook your favourite dish and take a picture of it, before recording a 30-second introductory video of yourself and complete the online form here. The last day you can submit your application for Season 3 of MasterChef Singapore is 13 October 2021.

Have you been getting in sufficient practice from recreating TikTok recipes? Think you can brave the rigours of a MasterChef Singapore audition? You’ll need to talk about your cooking style, your favourite dishes to cook, and your greatest fail in the kitchen. Yup, so if the fire extinguisher is your best friend in the kitchen…you have to own it.

If you’re approved to audition, you’ll have exactly one hour to execute a dish that will hopefully impress the producers of MasterChef Singapore. Pack your nicest plate, ingredients, and whatever special equipment you’ll need for that extra finesse (or luck), and go to town. You won’t be meeting any celebrity judges like Bjorn Shen, Damian D’Silva, or Audra Morrice at this stage just yet, though if you wow the producers enough, that dream might become a reality real soon.

We all watched Season 2 of MasterChef Singapore religiously, or at least I definitely did. It was one of the top local English variety series on Channel 5 this year, ending in April with 25-year-old Derek Cheong, an engineering student from Nanyang Technological University cinching the top spot in the final cook-off.

Season 3 of MasterChef Singapore will stream in the second quarter of 2022, but in the meantime, Season 2 is available for streaming on meWATCH or Channel 5 every Sunday at 12pm, starting from 29 August 2021.
