Due to overwhelming response from the public, Nakara Thai Cuisine has expanded to bigger premises in Thomson. They started operations at this new outlet after closing the initial one in Clementi on 21 May 2023.
Owner Annie started selling Thai noodle dishes because she was unable to return to Thailand during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her stall was initially known as Yak Kin Noodle. They apparently received many repeat orders from Thai nationals living in SG, a testament to the authenticity of their dishes.
While there are several Thai joints in Singapore selling Thai cuisine, none of them come close to what Nakara Thai Cuisine offers. The brand specialises in noodle dishes such as Stewed Beef Noodle (S$9.90), Stewed Chicken Noodle (S$8.90) and Tom Yum Crispy Pork Noodle (S$8.90).
I love Thai food for its fiery and bold spices. Here, the team lets you choose your preferred spice level. The range begins from ‘less spicy’ for those with low tolerance to ‘Thai spicy’ for those who enjoy a heavier spice seasoning.
On top of noodles, unique stir frys are available, too. Personally, I would order the Stir Fry Chilli Prawn (S$12.90), Thai Panang Pork (S$10.90) and Spicy Seafood Salad with Glass Noodle (S$10.90).
Have you heard of any of these dishes being sold elsewhere?
If you’re looking for more familiar comfort food, rest assured that the team’s got you covered, too. One cannot go wrong with the classic items such as Grilled Pork Stick (Moo Ping) (S$10.90 for 3 sticks), Pad Thai (Prawn/ Seafood) (S$9.90) and Stir Fried Basil with Minced Pork (S$10.90).
I would recommend going down to the restaurant during non-peak hours as the wait does take a long time. After all, who can resist such creative and authentic Thai dishes that can be enjoyed any time of the day!
