I’m not sure if you remember, but we featured NamGor Hainan Kopitiam in 2023, which was then known as New Yew Sang Seafood Restaurant. It has now been rebranded with a freshly minted name. NamGor Hainan Kopitiam is a time-honoured family business which has been passed down for 3 generations.

The rebranded shopstill sits at its old location — SS6, Petaling Jaya. Nestled right across Paradigm Mall, this corner-lot gem stands as a testament to time. It’s known for its curry mee, crafted using its 30-year-old recipe.  Besides this, you can also find the signature Penang Siam Laksa here. This dish is rare to find in the KL area so make sure you don’t miss out on this.

The Curry Mee (RM9.50) is one of the most popular dishes that they serve. The soup is thick and fragrant, having been cooked since early morning. It is freshly brewed to perfection daily. The vibrant appearance of the curry mee also makes it an enticing dish to indulge in.

Penang Siam Laksa (RM10) is another dish recommended by the stall’s owner. As you can see from its name, this dish is a Siamese laksa — it features coconut milk-based broth and is brewed with over 10 ingredients.

You can delight your taste buds with a velvety-smooth, creamy soup that boasts a tantalising dash of sourness. It creates a rich and harmonious flavour profile, offering a luscious experience for those who love creamy laksa.

If you’re looking for something lighter on your tummy, try the  Ipoh Hor Fun (RM9) and Fish Head Noodle (RM14.50), too! The stall also offers an array of beverages with Salted Coffee (RM3.80) as its signature drink.

This rebranded spot is ready to spice up your taste buds. Are you ready for the challenge? Then, stop by NamGor Hainan Kopitiam.
