Early this year, we went all the way to Sentosa for Keisuke Tokyo (RWS)’s lobster broth ramen. Now, more than half a year later, Ramen King Mr. Keisuke Takeda is back with his latest venture and 8th ramen concept, Niku King

Located in Paya Lebar Square, Niku King, is in fact, a joint ramen concept alongside the adjacent Tonkotsu King. Together, both eateries house up to 49 seats, leaving fans spoilt for choice with the option to order a myriad of dishes concurrently under both ramen stores.

Since most of us are already familiar with what Tonkotsu King has to offer, let’s delve a little further into Keisuke’s 12th ramen outlet, Niku King.

Inspired by its sister chain in Japan, Niku Soba, Niku King stays true to its name (‘niku’ means meat in Japanese) by serving bowls of ramen filled up to the brim with overwhelming amounts of juicy and fatty Tontoro Pork Chashu.

Their ramen broth—miso, shoyu, and spicy—are also said to be thicker, creamier, and more umami to complement the ramen noodles which are thicker compared to standard noodles.

Favourites such as Niku King Tonkotsu Ramen (S$13.90) and Niku King Shoyu Ramen SPECIAL (S$16.90) aside, the eatery also has exclusive sides such as the Salmon Rare Katsu (S$7.90) for those seeking a protein option aside from pork.

Rice dishes such as their Keisuke Egg Rice (S$3.90) and Niku Soboro Rice (S$3.90) are also available if you are looking for a less filling alternative to go with your sides or to share with your company.

If you are one who enjoys food filled with bold, rich, and intense flavours, do check out Niku King for a change. For its vast portion, this is definitely a steal for all meat-loving ramen fans out there.
