The world is unpredictable. But there is one thing you can be certain of—cafe openings. Phat Chic Forever is the newest kid in town for all things sipping and munching. Nestled in the heart of Jalan Besar is a stronghold of diet-wrecking, guilt-packed indulgence that promises to satisfy all the sweet tooths out there.

That’s not all that it has going for it too. On Fridays and Saturdays, the eatery opens till 2am. If you’re ever looking for some late-night spots to stuff yourself silly with creamy scoops of ice cream atop crispy waffles, Phat Chic Forever has got you covered.

Let us take a look at some of the ice cream flavours presented behind its neon-lit signboard to kick things off. You have your classics like Cookies and Cream (S$3.50) and Mint Chips (S$3.50), or more snazzy options like the Pistachio (S$4.50) and Blue Cookie Monster (S$4.50). Bring a friend along and go to town on the massive ice cream selection here. There’ll definitely be something to pique your interest.

Just as Batman needs Alfred, these scoops of ice cream are wholly empowered by Phat Chic Forever’s waffles. These aren’t your ordinary, run-of-the-mill waffles, no sir. It arrives decked out in the shape of a flower whilst still boasting the same crispy golden-brown, crispy exterior and fluffy insides. It’s an eye-catcher for sure, and one which I reckon all the waffle aficionados out there would want to check out.

Moving away from the sweet side of things, the menu here also boasts some savoury options. The Otah Toast (S$8.80) is one such example, with a local twist on cafe toasts that comes by way of their house-made spicy otah paste over bread. If you’re still not convinced, Phat Chic Forever’s cups of bubble tea might do the trick.

Yes, you can chomp down on your ice cream and waffle combo whilst sipping on cups of bubble tea. This one’s a recipe for intense food comas, but a thoroughly delicious one at that. For those on the hunt for exciting new eats in Singapore, dessert at Phat Chic Forever may be a great addition to your list.
