Plaza Singapura is one of Singapore’s busiest malls, which is no surprise, given its central location in the bustling Dhoby Ghaut region. The huge mall spans 9 floors, with plenty of shopping and dining options to choose from. I’ve been to Plaza Singapura many of times over the years and each time, I manage to find a different gem to dine at.

Here are 13 spots in Plaza Singapura to feast at when you’re feeling hungry while in Dhoby Ghaut.

1. Five Guys (#01-32/33/34C/35)

plaza singapura - five guys

American fast food chain Five Guys is widely touted as one of the best burger brands in the world, and it’s no surprise as to why that is. Unlike most other fast food chains, Five Guys offers an unlimited number of free toppings to go with your burger or hot dog, including tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, steak sauce and onions.

Their world famous burgers are available in variations like Hamburger (S$14.50), Cheeseburger (S$16.50) and Bacon Burger (S$16.50). Alternatively, opt for their range of hot dogs: The All Beef Hot Dog comes in at S$11.50 while the loaded Bacon Cheese Dog costs S$15.50.

I opted for the most expensive menu item, the Bacon Cheeseburger (S$18.50), filled with crisp and salty bacon, slices of cheese and a juicy beef patty. I greedily added on as many toppings as I could manage, resulting in a thiccc burger piled with flavourful and saucy ingredients. Yum!

When you enter Plaza Singapura, one of the first shops you will see is Paper Rice, a Vietnamese restaurant selling all sorts of Vietnamese fare, from the popular pho and bánh mì dishes to lesser known foods such as escargot.

Tuck into a comforting bowl of pho, with options including the classic Spicy Beef Pho (S$15.90) and Chicken Pho (S$11.90).

The humble Co Chung restaurant may seem unassuming, but do not underestimate it. Tucked away in the basement of Plaza Singapura, this little restaurant has made a name for itself in the Vietnamese community in Singapore. The family-run business offers delectable Vietnamese fare at pocket-friendly prices.

I am drawn to their menu items like the Vietnamese Sizzling Beef Steak (S$22.90) and Water Fern Cake (S$9.90), which are dishes that I do not often see in Singapore. Of course, they have classics like Pho Beef Noodle Soup (S$14.90) and Fresh Spring Rolls (S$7.90 for 2 pieces), which are staples in most Vietnamese restaurants.

8. HOLLIN (#01-68)

plaza singapura - hollin

No mall listicle is complete without a bubble tea store, is it? HOLLIN is located outside of Plaza Singapura, which may make it a bit trickier to locate, but you’ll easily spot it right next to the bus stop.

HOLLIN stands out from its competitors as it has a different pearl flavour for every day of the week— on Tuesdays, you can enjoy their Matcha pearls, while Thursdays are dominated by their unique Pandan pearls!

plaza singapura - hollin

The Rock Salt Macchiatos (R.S.M) are a creation exclusive to HOLLIN, with a unique blend of sweet and salty flavours. The R.S.Ms are available in in flavours including Shizouka Matcha (S$5 / S$6), Pink Guava (S$4.80 / S$5.80) and Mango (S$5 / S$6).

I decided to get a Caramel Black Tea Latte (S$5.10 / S$6.10) and added on S$1.20 for pudding. The drink was incredibly milky with a slight roasted aroma, while the pudding was jiggly and soft. I found that there could have been a larger ratio of tea to milk, but generally I enjoyed the drink.
