1855 F&B presents a new addition to their list of successful restaurants, BORN. BORN is a fine dining restaurant of contemporary cuisine set within the iconic Jinrikisha Station. In partnership with Chef Zor Tan, BORN is based on the ‘circle of life’— a philosophy that fuses the chef’s childhood memories, professional journey, and personal ideals into a multi-sensory experience.
The restaurant showcases the marriage of French gastronomy with the influence and knowledge of Chinese flavours and ingredients; an odd but compatible mix. At BORN, be prepared to go on a journey into the potentialities of food where each dish tells a story on a plate, by a chef at the top of his game and dedicated to pushing the limits.
In celebration and embracing the full circle of life, Chef Zor Tan returns to his roots to give grace. BORN will also showcase specially commissioned artworks that transforms the restaurant into a gallery of sorts. Anchoring the main dining hall, is, of course, an eye-catching, powerful paper sculpture by Peter Gentenaar resembling the relationship between humans and nature, evoking the ‘circle of life.
The restaurant also boasts a main dining hall, ancillary features include two private dining rooms that seat four and the other eight at a round table. Additionally, there’s a private lounge and open lounge, each seating four to six.
