2. Blue Jasmine

Equally as colourful as the celebrations itself is Blue Jasmine’s Nasi Lemak Family Set (S$48). Fit for up to four persons, this Nasi Lemak Family Set infuses authentic Thai flavours into the evergreen Singaporean favourite, nasi lemak.
The dish features a bed of fragrant steamed blue jasmine coconut rice served with a side of chicken wings, Thai-style otah, cha-om egg omelet, and sambal shrimp paste.

Nasi lemak aside, the eatery will also be offering the Roast Chicken Rice Family Set (S$48) inspired by none other than the legendary Hainanese chicken rice. Together with steamed lemongrass flavoured rice are a hefty serving of boneless roasted chicken thigh, wok-fired mixed vegetables, and Thai-style otah.

3. Goodwood Park Hotel
For the first time in history, feast in a meal of perennial favourites from all of Goodwood Park Hotel’s restaurants. In celebration of the hotel’s 120th anniversary together with Singapore’s birthday, the National Day Celebratory Set Menu (S$55+ per set) pays homage to the hotel’s rich heritage whilst commemorating Singapore’s melting pot of cuisine and cultures.

This enticing set meal highlights dishes from Goodwood Park Hotel’s various establishments: Pork Shepherd’s Pie from L’Espresso, 3 Skewers of Chicken Satay from Coffee Lounge, Chilled Angel Hair Pasta from Gordon Grill, and Deep-fried Sea Perch with Spicy Lemongrass Sauce from Min Jiang.

How can we miss the durians from Goodwood Park Hotel right? Dessert is the signature Durian crepe from The Deli, a bounteous serving of creamy durian pulp enveloped in a delicate paper-thin crepe. As dim sum lovers, we were impressed by Mott 32’s exquisite selection of bite-sized treats and their clever twist on classics such as sui mai and char siew buns.

This National Day, instead of dim sum, why not treat yourselves to the restaurant’s crowd favourites with their National Day 3-course Set Lunch. Priced at S$55++ with a minimum of two pax to order, embark in a gastronomic journey with their signature Barbecue Pluma Iberico Pork with Yellow Mountain Honey. This no-fail combination of sweet and savoury is Mott 32’s modernised version of char siew that is sure to tantalise your tastebuds with its complex mix of flavours!
Other highlights include South Australian scallop, Hot & Sour Shanghainese Soup Dumpling, as well as the tantalizing Poached Garoupa Fish Fillet in Szechuan Pepper Broth. 5. Cut by Wolfgang Puck

Also located at The Shoppers at Marina Bay Sands near Mott 32 is Cut by Wolfgang Puck. If you think that this award-winning restaurant is merely for steak connoisseurs, you are wrong! This National Day—yes, just for one-day on 9 August 2020—Cut by Wolfgang Puck will be releasing a series of local delicacies with a special twist.
Available only from 11.30am – 2.30pm, the National Day Lunch (S$45++) menu features a medley of dishes with a balance of western and eastern influences.

Expected a plate of Beef Hor Fun pimped out with the addition of U.S.D.A prime beef. If that is not enough, there is the restaurant’s exclusive Chicken Masala, Kueh Pie Tee with Jumbo Lump Crab, and Father Ang’s Pumpkin Rice to add into the spread.
Don’t forget to round up your local tasting experience with a bucket of three Tiger beers going at just S$18++. These drinks will definitely help cool you down before you head out under the sun to witness the events happening around the area in this sweltering weather!

Probably one of the best (if not, the best) place for an unparalleled view of the vibrant fireworks that will be on display during National Day would be at CÉ LA VI Singapore.

Especially for the National Day weekend, CÉ LA VI will be home to Sky High Hawker, an event curated to pay tribute to our country’s vibrant culinary scene. From 7 to 10 August 2020, join the restaurant in raising a toast to Singapore as you indulge in exclusive dishes presented by an all-star cast consisting of our city’s most beloved chefs and hawkers.

After a tour at the nearby National Gallery Singapore, why not take a lunch break at Yan for a hearty dim sum feast? Yan’s National Day Special Dim Sum Lunch Menu offers a series of mini treats infused with familiar localised flavours.

The Steam Xiao Long Bao With White Pepper Soup (S$5.80 for four pieces) combines hot and peppery bak kut teh soup into soup dumplings, resulting in bursts of spicy goodness that is uniquely comforting.
Yan knows that we Singaporeans love dipping fried buns into chilli crab sauce and thus, they have created the Pan-fried Singapore Chili Crab Meat Buns (S$12 for three pieces)—a two in one combination that is sure to delight!

Apart from dine-in selections, the National Day ‘Taste Of Home’ Share Pack (S$55) is also available for delivery and takeaway from 1 August to 31 August 2020. Find it difficult to get your hands on good vegetarian options? Worry not as Elemen has you covered. For our vegetarian friends, celebrate this joyous occasion with Elemen’s Local-icious set (S$38.80++ per pax).

Available for dine-in, this 8-course menu features a kaleidoscope of hawker favourites re-invented as a meatless fare. One look at the menu and I was immediately drawn to the Cream of Shroom Kut Teh, an east-meets-west cream soup that is filled with herbal and peppery flavours of bak kut teh.
Not only that, the Taste of Singapore Trio features a lovely combination of cultural staples presented sushi-style! Savour these bite-sized Hainanese chicken rice, nasi lemak, and nasi biryani for a taste of Singapore’s multi-cultural influences.
Desserts are equally as intriguing with a Kaya Creme Brûlée and Sng Muay Sorbet to put a refreshing end to this scrumptious meal!

9. Morganfield’s Singapore
Home of sticky bones, Morganfield’s Singapore is serving none other than off-the-bone tender baby back ribs this National Day!

Get your hands dirty with their finger-lickin’ Satay Baby Back Ribs (S$39.90 for full slab). Their baby back pork ribs are marinated with classic satay spices before being flame-grilled to give an unmistakable smoky-sweet char.
