Depending on which occurs first, the game either ends at 11.59pm on 12 Nov 2024 or when all the coins have been found

Organised by Sqkii, a marketing gamification company, this is the 5th year of the treasure hunt. Hints are dropped daily via Sqkii’s social media channels, as well as a real-time map that is accessible by using a phone.

The game is open to all, but some restrictions do apply. Past and present employees of Sqkii, and immediate family members are disqualified from the hunt. People who are under the employment of Sqkii’s participating partners are also not allowed to enter.

Sqkii Hunt the Mouse - Coins

A total of S$1 million has been hidden all over the island, split into multiple coins: One gold coin worth S$500,000 and 300 silver coins worth either S$500 or S$2,500. Once you have found a coin, you can redeem the cash prize by following the link on the coin.

Sqkii Hunt the Mouse - Map

Potential locations are shown on the Hunt The Mouse website. The potential radius of where the coins are hidden will get smaller over 15- to 60-minute intervals. The map also removes locations where the gold coin isn’t hidden thrice a day.

Players can get hints on coin locations via an in-app currency called Crystals. These are earned by completing tasks known as Brand Actions on the mobile website. Crystals can also be earned by referring friends, completing in-game surveys, and tagging Sqkii’s Instagram or TikTok in entertaining videos of you hunting coins.

Sqkii also emphasizes that none of the coins are hidden in dangerous areas. They will not be hidden underwater or buried, nor require players to break open or dismantle items.

They will also not be hidden in places of worship or locations that require trespassing. Players found breaking the rules are ineligible for prizes and could be reported to the authorities. Play safe!
