The Boom Boom Burger is a chicken burger packed with a multitude of flavours. Stuffed between the sesame buns, the chicken thigh is marinated with a house-made bumbu paste which is quintessentially an earthy Indonesian spice mix containing an assortment of spices like cumin and fennel.

A mild sambal mayo is then added on top before an additional dollop of bumbu paste is added for an extra kick. It is then crowned with sliced cabbage and pickled red onions to inject some tanginess to counterbalance its overall richness.

The sesame buns are filled with a pattie crafted from non-meat ingredients such as tau kwa, mushroom and rolled oats. Black pepper sauce is then slathered on top and vegetables like tomatoes, caramelised onions and pickled cucumber are inserted in-between for a variety of tastes and textures.

The Boom Boom Burger (S$8.90) and Tushroom Burger (S$7.90) are available as part of a set (no à la carte allowed) which includes corn ribs and a can of 7-up.

The corn ribs are dusted with a generous layer of homemade spice rub, reminiscent of the Taiwanese XXL Fried Chicken that are sold on the streets. A calamansi is given to add a touch of brightness to the fresh maize.
