A group of Temasek Polytechnic students from the Diploma of Culinary and Catering Management is involved in something cool for their final year project. They’ve created the LunarChick burger which will be open for sale to TP students as well as members of the public— how refreshing is that?

Naming themselves Hen In Hen, all the food preparations are done in the campus’s kitchen where practical lessons are usually conducted— just like a cloud kitchen!

The LunarChick burger consists of a thiccc crispy deep-fried peppery chicken thigh that’s topped with a thin layer of their homemade creamy onion sauce. It is sandwiched between a freshly baked brioche bun, and finished off with a tangy kimchi slaw.

The brioche buns are made from scratch, and have gone through multiple R&D sessions to get them incredibly buttery and fluffy.

The burger will be sold as a set meal together with a side of Shio-Kombu Fries and Coke for S$8.90. Collection will only be available at Temasek Polytechnic’s campus in front of the main library. Note that this area is accessible to the public too, though there is a limited number of 200 sets over the whole collection period.

Collection details are as follows:

  • 11 & 12 Jan 2023, 18 & 19 Jan 2023 11.30am – 1.30pm
  • 13 & 20 Jan 2023 2.30pm – 4pm

Orders open on 3 Jan at 12pm and close on 5 Jan at 12pm, and interested customers can head to their Instagram page to check out their order link. All payment is done though the link via PayNow/PayLah, and they don’t take cash on collection.

If the project is a success, some of the students may decide to take it and grow it into a full business— let’s give them some support, shall we?
