Bombolonis are Italian stuffed doughnuts, said to be packed full with cream or filling. Makes for a mouth-watering snack, does it not? Many Singaporeans think so too, as it was common for The Fat Kid Bakery to sell out extremely early at their previous outlet in Ang Mo Kio.

The Fat Kid Bakery was the brainchild of Ariel, a self-taught baker who started baking at the young age of 13. She had found a sense of fulfilment feeding her close ones with her treats. She has now expanded to feeding the rest of Singapore.

Their popular sweet bombolonis would be Vanilla Creme Brulee and Chocolate Mess, the common classics. However, it would be a shame to neglect the peculiar Blueberry Cheesecake or Sea Salt Maple.

To the recent addition to the array of flavours offered, the bakery added savoury ones — Spicy Egg MayoTorched Mentaiko CreamSour Cream & Onion and Roasted Garlic Mascarpone.

The more the merrier seems to be the bakery’s motto, as the bombolonis are often sold by boxes. Available in Boxes of 4 (S$15.60), 8 (S$31.20), 10 (S$38.80) and 12 (S$46.20), these bombolonis would be a perfect visiting gift for your loved ones.

After viewing what The Fat Kid Bakery has to offer, I’m sure that many of us feel tempted. Even I want to get a box for myself, making for a delicious snack. Let’s go down and celebrate The Fat Kid Bakery’s new space!
