It’s been a long time coming, but we’re so excited to hear that The Original Botak Jones has decided to make comeback with its nostalgic and affordable Western fare. As you know, comfort food is what we really seek while we’re still trying to keep safe indoors and seek solace amidst the pandemic. As such, it’s quite a timely return for this long-loved brand to make its return—and we’re all for it.

Now located in Depot Lane, the stall is currently open for delivery and take-away. According to their site, “For those of you who were our customers back in the beginning, you might remember that there were not a lot of choices back then so it was not our main consideration. Offering damn good, reasonably priced food and courteous but personable service were our only concerns. They are our only concerns today as well.” With that, their menu still boasts plenty to choose from—enough to whet this Editor’s appetite.

The classic Botak Burger (S$10.50 for burger only, S$13.50 for Set) is still a feature, with its signature single patty done medium-well. Of course, The Cajun Chicken Burger (from S$7.50 for a single patty, from S$10.5o for Set) will certainly be on many people’s minds especially since they use their own blend of spices before topping the succulent chicken breast with mozzarella cheese and housemade cajun sauce.

Feeling even hungrier? Then fill up on the NZ Ribeye Steak (S$23 for 25og, S$29.50 for 350g) and pile on your choice of sides from Double Baked Cheese Potato (S$4.50), Butter Rice (S$2), and Gumbo (S$3.50). The Original Botak Jones is currently on Grab and foodpanda, but you may also contact Zee at +65 9380 5339 to place your orders.
