Choosing where to eat at the newly opened One Punggol Hawker Centre can be a daunting task, especially with over 34 stalls for you to pick from. However, one hawker stall that stands out from the rest is The Usual Place, with its nostalgic tze char and seafood offerings!

Also opened on 31 Oct 2022, The Usual Place is actually a collaboration between Jiao Cai Seafood and the Timbre Group, the former having been in business since 1982.

Jiao Cai Seafood has also been awarded the Michelin Guide and Michelin Plate in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Better yet, we gave it five stars when we reviewed their Yishun outlet in 2019. Suffice it to say, they know their seafood!

However, the highlight of The Usual Place is its lunch set that is available between 12pm to 3pm on Daily. The lunch set has almost all of the a la carte items at a lower price, making this a perfect group lunch idea on the weekdays or a family dinner on the weekends!
