My favourite activity offered at the resort was the captivating Mangrove Eco Tour. Led by experienced (and extremely fun!) guides, this excursion provides an opportunity to explore and learn about the rich biodiversity of the surrounding mangrove forests.

The tour begins with a scenic boat ride, navigating through the winding waterways that weave through the dense mangrove forest. As you venture deeper into this natural sanctuary, the knowledgeable guides share fascinating insights about the ecological importance of mangroves and their role in supporting various species of plants and wildlife.

During the tour, you may spot various bird species gracefully gliding through the air or perched among the branches. Marvel at the impressive adaptability of animals like mudskippers, which navigate the muddy terrain with ease. You might even catch a glimpse of the elusive resident wildlife, such as monitor lizards or even playful otters.

Now, let’s turn our attention to the food. The Sunday Brunch at Sea.Fire.Salt is not just a meal; it is a celebration of flavours and a moment to savour. From succulent oysters to plump prawns, indulge in the finest treasures from the sea. Immerse yourself in the tastes of the ocean as you relish the catch of the day.

It doesn’t stop at seafood alone. Explore a wide range of international culinary delights, featuring a plethora of appetisers, salads, and artisanal cheeses. Discover a variety of succulent grilled meats and exquisite dishes from around the world, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail.

Just a hop and a skip away from Singapore, Desaru is an absolute must-visit destination this summer.

How to get there:

By car: The drive from Singapore to Desaru takes about 2 hours. You can take the Causeway or the Tuas Second Link to Johor Bahru, and then follow the signs to Desaru.

By ferry: There is a ferry service that departs from the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. The journey takes about 90 minutes.
