Well, we are off to a great start to 2021. Tiong Bahru Bakery is here to make all my wildest dreams come true with Brioche N°1 (S$24)—a handwash to put all other handwashes to shame.
You’ll have to agree, one of the best smells in the world has to be the smell of freshly baked bread. Brioche N°1 is a cruelty-free formula developed together with local craft fragrance house Oo La Lab. Then, through some kind of sorcery and alchemy, they have managed to distil the smell of bread into a bottle. Brioche smelling hand wash is very 2021 invention if I do say so myself.
You have your sweet notes of vanilla to evoke those sepia-toned childhood memories. Then, the buttery scent of caramel to remind of popcorn and you might be tempted to have a chomp on your own hand. But, don’t though. Lastly, we have the zingy pineapple for clean, zippy freshness that handwashes promise.
Besides being one of the most fawned over French bakeries in Singapore, with this handwash, Tiong Bahru Bakery has now firmly cemented their status one of my favourite bakeries in Singapore. I mean loving their bakes is one thing, smelling like them just brings obsession with baked goods to a whole new level. Which, if you can’t tell, I’m all for.
