September really brings a whole new slew of drinks. Even without the four seasons here in Singapore, we seem to be really attuned to autumn when September comes around. With that comes warm, creamy and homely beverages, such as Tiong Bahru Bakery’s September exclusive Hojicha Latte (from S$6.20).

Much like the highly anticipated Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte that rolled out earlier this month, Tiong Bahru Bakery’s Hojicha Latte will leave you in a holiday mood.

Even as someone who hasn’t fully acquired the taste for hojicha (roasted Japanese green tea), looking at the rich swirls of milk and tea has me hankering for a sip.

The Hojicha Latte is available in both Hot (S$6.20) and Iced (S$7.20) options. I love that versatility to enjoy the drink in either mood. Sometimes I want to pretend I’m curled up in a cosy corner of a giant library in the middle of a snowstorm cradling a hot latte; other times I’d rather be basking in a sunny field with dirt roads leading to nowhere, iced latte magically in hand. Is that too much to ask for?

Whatever your fantasy, the Tiong Bahru Bakery Hojicha Latte is available at all outlets, so you don’t have to go far for some daydreaming.

If milk isn’t your thing, you can also ask for milk alternatives when you order.

While you’re there, don’t forget to check out their tantalising array of pastries, including the signature buttery Croissant (S$3.50). Maybe you can’t actualise your lying-in-a-field-of-flowers fantasies, but you definitely can indulge.

Date & Time: Hojicha Latte is now available at all Tiong Bahru Bakery outlets till 30 September 2020

Price: S$6.20 for hot; S$7.20 for iced
