Here’s some breaking news for Pokémon fanatics: Tokyo’s Pokémon Cafe is launching two line ups that will definitely make you say, ‘kawaii‘!
Their upcoming seasonal line-up is the ‘Sakura Afro Pikachu’ menu that will be launching exclusively at the Pokemon Cafe in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. Available from 14 March 2020 to 19 April 2020, mark your dates to catch ’em all!
This spring season, Tokyo’s Pokémon Cafe ushers in the cherry blossom season with an afro on Pikachu’s head—literally, the name of this dish is, ‘Sakura Afro Pikachu Fruit Pancakes’. Retailing at JPY1,738, the pancake is adorned with fruits with an afro exploding with strawberry whipped cream. How cute!
Looking for just a cup of latte while reminiscing the good ol’ days of Pokémon this season? There’s the Pokémon Latte Afro Pikachu 2020 (JPY 770) to soak in the adorableness of the Sakura Afro Pikachu.
On 20 March 2020, in less than a week after the Sakura Afro Pikachu line-up release, another release of dishes inspired from the latest series of the Pokémon video games, Sword and Shield, will make its debut.
From 20 March 2020 till 29 May 2020, the new menu will consist of five dishes as shown above (from bottom left in anticlockwise direction): Gigantamax Impish Pikachu Taco Rice Plate (JPY2,178 ), Gigantamax Smiley Eevee Hamburger Steak Stew Set (JPY2,178 ), Ice Face Eiscue Jiggly Panna Cotta (JPY1,628), Happy Yamper Sandwich Picnic Plate (JPY1,848 ), and Galarian Zigzagoon Crunchy Cookie Tiramisu (JPY1,738 ).
For those looking to have a charming plate of savoury bites, consider three of their dishes, the Gigantamax Impish Pikachu Taco Rice Plate, Gigantamax Smiley Eevee Hamburger Steak Stew Set, or the Happy Yamper Sandwich Picnic Plate. Be sure to capture these lovely dishes before devouring them!
End your meal on a good note with sweet treats like the Galarian Zigzagoon Crunchy Cookie Tiramisu and the Ice Face Eiscue Jiggly Panna Cotta.
